Many of our customers tell us they are choosing a Stryda boat as a reward for a lifetime of hard work. It’s a great honor for us at Stryda to know that our craft will play a significant role in how they enjoy their retirement. Roger is one of these customers, and this sentiment is reflected in the name of his boat, “Done & Dusted.”

Roger will be operating the Amphibious Cat in the Hauraki Gulf, an area known for its short, steep, and choppy waves. This is precisely why he chose the Stryda 600C catamaran, which delivers a much smoother ride in these conditions, making trips more enjoyable for his family. Having had the boat for a few months now, Roger has noticed that it feels larger than a typical 6-metre boat in terms of space and stability. He also appreciates the excellent turning circle on land offered by the catamaran design. With the front wheels extending from and retracting into the tunnel in the hull, the Stryda 600C has a shorter wheelbase than a monohull, providing better manoeuvrability.

Roger commented on how much he enjoyed the collaborative process of purchasing the boat, with regular visits to our factory to check the progress of the build and work through the custom features he wanted. The blue colour of the hull holds special significance to Roger, and he really appreciated the effort our team put into getting the shade just right. To help Roger get his boat from the beach to his house, which involves driving through suburban streets, we assisted with registering the boat for road use and fitted LED indicator lights.

It has been a great honour to have Roger join the Stryda family. With the weather starting to warm up, we look forward to seeing “Done & Dusted” in action, taking friends and family out for cruises, driving out of the water with the confidence of 4WD, and enjoying picnics on the beach without even getting their feet wet!
