Amphibious boats, which can operate both on land and water, have been gaining popularity for their versatility and convenience. Jeff, a boating enthusiast, has been keenly observing the growth and development of various amphibious offerings on the market. For several years, Stryda boats have caught his attention, especially since a few Stryda 600C amphibious catamarans operate in his area.
When the 900C model became available, Jeff knew it was the one for him. During the initial sea trial of the Stryda 900C with his sons, they immediately noticed the soft-riding hull design, which they preferred over other hard-riding hull designs they had previously experienced. They appreciated the Stryda 900C’s “launch feel” in terms of fit and finish, as well as the spacious deck, which provided plenty of room for the entire family.
Jeff’s property borders tidal flats, and the versatility of the Stryda 4WD amphibious system means he can now launch the craft at any tide, a significant improvement from being limited to a few hours on either side of high tide. This feature inspired the boat’s name, “SandSkipper,” as Jeff can now skip over the sand to find water. You can see how “Sand Skipper” handles the sand in the images below.
After the initial handover training, Jeff was extremely thrilled with the boat and commented on how easy it was to operate. It only took him a couple of hours to get familiarized with the amphibious controls to drive in and out of water. The amphibious capability makes launching so much easier and quicker. Jeff joked that everyone in his family would want to use the boat, and he might have to get their permission before using his own boat!
